The Volkswagen Community Trust has a vision of seeing projects in the Metro run efficiently and successfully. The previous pattern of projects collapsing after a short period of time, leaving children suffering and once again returning to the streets, therefore needs to be broken.

VWSA has recognized dominant NGOs already functioning optimally within the Metro and have partnered with them to provide services as well as support.
Volkswagen Trustees serve on the boards of these NGOs in order to help improve their capacity levels and partner with them. Although the Trust makes ad hoc donations to additional NGO’s, it’s strategic giving approach defines particular projects that it partners with long term.

There are countless NGO’s and community projects that are deserving of corporate investment, yet the Trust is not able to practically engage with all of them.

The NGO Connect Platform has been
designed to offer the following gateway:

•  Profile registered NGO’s

•  Make NGO information accessible to potential corporate investors, partners, donors, supporters

•  Share best practice models with partners towards optimising the sustainability and success of NGO projects

We invite any interested parties to utilise this platform to further the empowerment and upliftment of local communities. The executive summaries listed on this platform will provide you with an overview of some of the NGO’s in need of additional support. The Trust will be updating these summaries with detailed NGO profiles and contact details through a process of database integration.
