There is no denying that as proud South Africans, we are passionate about our sport. It is widely acknowledged that sport is an incredibly positive social building block. With sport as an option, the youth can become involved in a healthy alternative for recreational activities. Nurturing a sporting youth in turn creates a healthy youth - physically, mentally and socially.

The value of sport as a nation builder cannot be denied. With one glance back in the memory to any of the World Cup events in which South Africa excelled, one can feel the stirrings of patriotism. And who can forget the look on Madiba’s face when he held the Webb Ellis Trophy aloft back in 1995.
